Retro-fit Installation

Retro-fit installation involves putting a solar PV (photovoltaic) system on an existing house or building including for larger buildings such as existing offices, industrial units, educational institutions, stations or hospitals.

The entire system usually only takes a couple of days to install, wire and connect to the grid. The solar PV panels are usually located on existing roofs but can also be installed in the grounds of your building, for instance as a free-standing ground-mounted system, or against appropriate walls, in a car park or on a garage or car park roof. Roof installation work is simpler than putting in a skylight.

What we do

Depending on your requirements we will:

• Appraise your building to find out whether a solar PV system makes sense.
• Examine any planning implications and wiring issues.
• Provide a detailed appraisal of the practicalities and economics of retro-fitting one of our systems to your building.
• Design the system most appropriate to your needs.
• Provide all required parts including  solar PV panels, inverter controllers, cabling, support system and EMMA, our power management control system.
• Assist with installation. We can work alongside your electrician, offering advice and expertise. Or we can match you with a qualified electrical contractor who can install the system for you.
