Installation in New Builds
This type of installation is for new builds by architects, developers,
builders and local authority professionals. It may also be suitable
if you are involved in a self-build.
What we do
Depending on your requirements, we will:
- Assist you and/or your consultants with the design of a
fully integrated solar PV system
for your new building.
- Provide a detailed appraisal of the economics of incorporating the
system, with figures
on cost and performance.
- Process the licensing paperwork.
- Supply all necessary components including solar PV modules, inverter controllers, supports, cabling
and EMMA, our power management control system.
- Assist you in installing the system. Cool Power can guide and advise
your builder and electrical contractor on installation,
wiring and connection to
the grid,
or put you in contact with
qualified electrical contractors
who are authorised installers.
- Help to get highly attractive BES funding where relevant (certain commercial projects).
Licensing grid-connected solar PV systems
Domestic installations are classed as micro-generators. The licensing
regulations for micro-generators are relatively straightforward, and Cool Power will complete and submit all the paperwork for you. Commercial installations are usually larger than domestic installations and have slight technical differences. Systems over 50kWp are
subject to more complex licensing arrangements, and Cool Power can provide
essential advice and expertise on this area.
