Solar PV systems are extremely long-lived and require little or no maintenance. An example of this is the Green Building in Dublin's Temple Bar which had its solar electricity system installed in 1994. Even with no maintenance, the system is still producing more than its guaranteed electricity outputs, 14 years after the system was first installed.
